Valentine's Day Gift from Mint! Take a look.

My last post was about some special and different gifts for Valentine's Day. I ran across another that I want to share.

It is Minted.com's Minted Heart Shaped Snap Shots. You upload 30 photos of your choice and they are converted to polaroids with a gold, silver, or rose gold foil surround and placed in a heart shape. Frame colors are customizable, too. Isn't this sweet?

Chairish.com asked Color And Light Atelier to design a room around several chairs for sale on their website. Here is one of my designs!

If you are are not familiar with this fantastic designer resale furniture /accessories website, you should definitely take a look at Chairish. It is a fabulous, curated site to buy and sell amazing things. Think Ebay without sifting through the crummy stuff!

Chairish asked Color And Light to design mood boards around specific chairs that are currently selling on their website. So far, I designed boards around two chair selections. I am revealing one today and one tomorrow.

This pair of mid-century chairs: Midnight Blue Mid-Century Chairs

I decided add these chairs to a emerald and sapphire jewel colored living space which can seems more mid century or hollywood glam. The twist is traditional blue and white wallpaper with leopard rug. Think "Palm Springs Meets Upper East Side, NYC".

Drum Roll, please.....

In addition to the blue chairs, I also selected a few goodies from Chairish for the room. The gorgeous Karl Karl Springer Brass Coffee Table is currently for sale.

Baughman style side table is from Chairish.

White Faux Fur Ottoman is also for sale on Chairish. (Can't lie, almost bought this for myself.)

I absolutely LOVE this Emerald Green and Gold Leaf Etagere

And this Emerald Green Bar Cabinet.

FYI, for the less bold, both are made in white or black lacquer with gold leaf.

The wallpaper I chose is from Layla Grayce - Blue and White Birds and Flowers.

Leopard Rug is a great buy on Overstock - Leopard Rug. Leopard is a neutral that goes with everything. I absolutely love it!

Accessories is room are: Brass Horn Candle Holders, Turquoise Blue Foo Dogs, Blue and Green Abstract Painting, Arianna Brass Lamp, and Brass Round Mirror.

GREEN ENVY

I have always loved emerald green. With the design world's lean back to warm metals like brass, gold and copper, I went into my old photo clippings to find some examples and decided that no matter when emerald is used with warm metals it WORKS!!

Here are some examples:
